This receiver like the Denon AVR-1611 represents the sweet spot between performance and price. You’ll get great sound and you’ll really have to want this or that feature the more expensive models offer to justify spending more.

If you are simply looking for great sound the Pioneer VSX-1020-K will deliver. Includes iPod integration but often support will come and go based on the latest software release from Apple. Which my require a firmware upgrade for the receiver which may also require a trip to your not so local repair center.
