Boston Acoustics E40 -
●●●●
Rating

We have been enjoying Boston Acoustics
speakers for over eight years and just recently teamed the
CR series with a
Sonos wireless music
system that resulted in pure listening pleasure. For our
installation we used the CR85s and have used tons of their floor
standing speakers for home theaters and have been thrilled with the
results every time.
If you haven't auditioned Boston Acoustics
speakers be sure to give them a listen the next time you are in the
market. The Boston Sound has a richness often missing in other speakers.
At the same time the lows, mids and highs come through crystal clear in
perfect balance.
The end result is a speaker with incredible
detail and a presence that makes the sound come alive. Since Boston
Acoustics' product line covers the entire home audio field the odds are
pretty good they make a pair or more just for you.

B&W MT-30 -

There are far too many variables in play to be
able to recommend the right speakers for your particular installation
without knowing all the details. We can however provide you with a few
things to keep in mind during your search. Audition them! If at all
possible in the room you will be installing them. Be aware that there
are very few things in this industry with higher markups. Which just
might allow you to save some money or perhaps step up to the next
series.
Did we mention you should audition the speakers
you are considering? I guess we did but it's so important it's worth
repeating. Of course some speakers are better than others but in more
cases than not it will be there are speakers you enjoy listening to more
than others. Based on your personal taste, listening environment and
material.
Now if you happen to enjoy works of art that
sound terrific we can highly recommend
B&W. Pictured above is their modest MT
series. If you want to see just how artsy they can go check out their
Prestige series. The last thing we'll
ask you to keep in mind is typically speakers will stand the test of
time and continue to perform well after you have upgraded everything
around them. So making a sizeable investment will pay plenty of
dividends down the road.

SVS Subwoofers -

SVS is a great company that makes great
speakers with even better pricing. Buying directly from the manufacturer
has its advantages and in this case world-class subwoofers and speakers
for less than market pricing. They also throw in a 45-day money back
guarantee and a three-year warranty. If you are serious about bass give
them a try and you'll be equally impressed.

Yamaha YSP-1100 Digital Sound Projector

If you want to enjoy multi-channel sound without
having to purchase or install multiple speakers in your room the
Yamaha VSP-1100 ($1,499) was designed just for
you. Its 42 sound drivers and 2 woofers deliver true multi-channel
surround sound and includes a built-in amplifier to make your
installation even easier.
Yamaha also offers the less expensive
VSP-800 ($799) for smaller rooms. For
additional base you can add the optional YST-FSW100 ($179) subwoofer to either
model. After spending quality listening time with both models our
initial disbelief of enjoying surround sound via a single component
disappeared and our experience can be summed up in two words. It works!
